Amorgos, the island of the "Deep Blue" is located at the Southeastern edge of the Cyclades, 136 n.m. from Piraeus. It is an oblongue island with an abrupt mountainous morphology.
It features two natural ports, Katapola at its centre and Aigiali at the North.

Katapola

Katapola is one of the biggest natural ports in Aegean Sea. They are located in the center of Amorgos island. They are surrounded by hilly bulks and the sea. Right above Katapola are the remains of the important ancient town Minoa.

There are many clean beaches with crystal clear waters all around Katapola. Some of the most known are Ag. Panteleimon, Martezi, Plakes and Kato Akrotiri.
The region is famous for its nightlife. here you will find many taverns which serve fresh fish, cafeterias, bars and clubs.
